This type of trash rake is more and more frequently used because new manufacturing processes need effluent screening below 10 mm. The waste, caught due to the narrow spacing between the blades, accumulates in a covering on the steps of the bar screen. This covering of waste facilitates the additional reduction in the size of particles retained.
With each rotation, the mobile blades transport the covering of waste step by step towards the discharge point, thereby freeing the lower steps.
